What are we trying to achieve?
Researchers, regardless of their field, often work in isolation relying upon conferences and workshops to meet like-minded researchers. HuDSeN has been developed to provide a way of linking these researchers and to establish a network of both research and resources. It is our aim to:
- Create a multi-disciplinary network of researchers with expertise in human developmental biology, pathology, ethics, molecular biology and informatics.
- Provide access to the resources of human embryo tissue banks; existing gene expression services and spatio-temporal databases of mouse and human embryo data.
- Integrate existing infrastructures in order to improve services for and access by the scientific community.
- Develop new services that will improve qualitatively and quantitatively the generation, integration and analysis of gene expression data from various stages of human development and, for the first time, enable a comparative analysis between human and mouse spatio-temporal gene expression data.
